Lucknow, Amrit thoughts: Navratri has started. Navratri, which runs for ten consecutive days with the establishment of Kalash in all the major temples and houses of the city, has started. The major Devi temples of the city and rural areas were decorated with grand decorations. A crowd of devotees started gathering in the temples from morning itself. Worship was performed in all the temples including Kali Ji Chowk, Kali Bari, Sandohan Devi Mata Temple Chaupatia, Chhoti Kali Ji, Shri Durga Ji Temple Shastri Nagar, Chandrikadevi Temple Kathwara.
Long queues of devotees were found in the temples to see Mother. The campus echoed till late evening with the shouts of the devotees who gathered to visit the Badi Kali Ji temple at Chowk. According to the Chowk Samvadasutra, a crowd of devotees thronged the Badi Kali Ji temple at Chowk on the first day of Sharadiya Navratri. Worship of Maa Bhagwati nine forms started. Mother was worshiped on the first day. Devotees continued to throng the mother’s temples and Shaktipeeths. Proper arrangement of police was also seen for mob control. Today the doors of the temple opened at four in the morning. The process of reaching the devotees had started long queues of devotees of Maa Bhagwati even before the opening of the kapat.

Sharadiya Navratri started worshiping, shouts from house to house
The holy festival of Sharadiya Navratri started on Monday. On the first day, devotees worshiped the Shailputri form of Maa Durga and wished them wishes. There was an atmosphere of devotion and reverence in temples and houses. Devotees offered special prayers at Khaira Bhavani, Kali Bhavani, Vindhyavasini, Mehanoun and North Bhavani Maa Barahi Devi Temple of the region and prayed for happiness, prosperity and welfare of the family. After establishing the house from house to house, devotees pledged for fasting and practice for nine days. The idols of the Goddess started installing the idols in the puja pandals.
On the first day, about one thousand statues were installed across the district and worshiping them. According to the Puranas, there is a law of worship on the first day of Navratri to Shailputri, the daughter of the Himalayas and Lord Shiva, Lord Shiva. His vehicle is considered a symbol of Taurus and Trishul Shakti in his hand. It is said that worship of Shailputri provides morale, perseverance and stability in life.
It is believed that by worshiping different forms of Maa Durga in nine days of Navratri, all the troubles of the devotees are removed and there is happiness and prosperity in life. A crowd of devotees thronged the temples since morning. The atmosphere became devotional with the song Devi songs and bhajan kirtans everywhere. Women were seen worshiping Mataji in traditional costumes.
Sharadiya Navratri launched with grand Kalash Yatra
On the first day of Sharadiya Navratri, there was a wonderful confluence of faith and patriotism in the city. In the grand Mangal Kalash Yatra organized by Durga Puja Committee Kailash Bagh, a glimpse of Operation Sindoor and the tableau of Bharat Mata were the center of attraction. A picture of Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, adorned on the chariot, was put up with a tableau. The waving tricolor flags in the hands were giving the message of religion and patriotism. The Shobhayatra Shakti Gayatri Peeth started from Sakaraura and reached Kailash Bagh via the main routes of the city.
Hundreds of women and women kept praising the mother by placing Mars Kalash on their heads. The younger girls running ahead captivated the people by presenting Dandiya dance in colorful costumes. During this time the streets of the city resonated with the Devi hymns and cheers.
