Pitru Paksha has started from 7 September and these days of Pitra Paksha will be until the all -round Amavasya Tithi. In what form does ancestors come?
It is believed that the ancestors appear in the form of crows, dogs, cows or other animals and receive food and water of Shraddha. This is the reason that there is a tradition to feed the crows and other creatures in the ancestral side.
Importance of Mahabali and Panchbali
In religious texts and Puranas, they have been considered the basis of Shraddha. It is said that Shraddha remains incomplete without them. Mahabali is considered the main offerings of Shraddha. In this, pindadan, tarpan and special shraddha food are offered to the ancestors. How to do Panchbali Shraddha
Determine time and location – Panchbali Shraddha can usually be performed on each date of Pitru Paksha, but the most important day is considered to be Amavasya. This is done at a clean and holy place. If there is no holy place in the house, it can be done in the courtyard or on the banks of a river.

Pind (rice shells or cow dung shells), sesame, jaggery, milk and water, kush and a holy plate, food and water, lamps and flowers are important materials for Panchabali Shraddha.
