Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Police and administrative officials held a meeting with Muslim religious leaders at Aishbagh Eidgah on Saturday regarding preparations for Ramzan. In this meeting chaired by Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangimahali, Chairman of Islamic Center of India, issues of cleanliness, power supply and security during Ramzan were discussed.
Maulana Khalid Rashid told that when the moon rises on 18th February, Taraweeh will start from the same night and the first Roza will be on 19th February. Apart from Eidgah, Maulana said that cleanliness should be done around all the mosques of the city and electricity supply should be maintained smoothly during Iftar, Taraweeh and Sehri. There was also a demand for additional supply of water during Sehri time. He said that the largest congregation of Taraweeh will take place at Jama Masjid Eidgah from 7:45 pm. In this, five verses of the Quran will be recited, for which security and cleanliness arrangements should be made. There should be no arrangement in the traffic system in Aishbagh, Billouchpura, Akbari Gate, Nakhas, Maulvi Ganj, Golaganj, Aminabad, Kasai Bada, Machli Muhal, Hussainabad, Daliganj, Khadra, Khurram Nagar and other Muslim dominated areas. Maulana appealed to the people not to pay heed to any kind of rumors and not to get misled by anyone.
DCP West Vishwajit Srivastava assured that the entire system will be better than last year. ADCP West Dhananjay Singh said that teams are also being formed to maintain peace. City Magistrate Gyan Chandra Gupta, Additional Chief Medical Officer MH Siddiqui, Chief Warden of Civil Defense Amarnath Mishra, ACP Central, ACP Bazaar Khala, ACP Chowk, Lesa, Jal Sansthan and officials of other departments participated.
