Lucknow, Amrit thoughts: Mother Siddhidatri is worshiped on the ninth day of Navratri. This day is considered extremely important for the attainment of spiritual energy and siddhis. Goddess Siddhidatri is considered to be the tendency of knowledge, success, health and salvation. According to religious beliefs, Lord Shiva also worshiped all the siddhis by worshiping them, as a result of which he was worshiped in Ardhanarishwar form.
The form and symbol of mother Siddhidatri
Meaning of the name: “Siddhi” means supernatural power or spiritual achievement, and “Datri” means donor. Mother has four arms, in which she holds conch, chakra, mace and lotus. The mother is seated on the lotus flower, which is a symbol of spirituality and peace. His ride is Leo, a symbol of strength and courage.
Mythological recognition and religious importance
Acharya SS Nagpal said that it is believed that Maa Parvati gave her strength to Lord Shiva, which led to Shiva half -man and half a woman. This form was called Ardhanarishwar. That is why Mother was called ‘Siddhidatri’. Devotees get these eight siddhis from their worship of Anima, Glory, Garima, Laghima, Achievement, Prakamya, God.
Worship method and traditions
Mother Siddhidatri is offered halwa-pudi, black gram, kheer and coconut. Worshiping new girls on the last day of Navratri has special significance. It is considered auspicious to consider nine girls as a goddess form, worship and give gifts. On this day, devotees wish the mother for knowledge, wisdom, happiness, prosperity and salvation. With the worship of Maa Siddhidatri, Navratri duly ends. This day is considered a symbol of the victory of good over evil, self -purification and the completion of worship of the nine forms of the Goddess.
Devotees blessed Maa Mahagauri
On the eighth day of Sharadiya Navratri, devotees duly worshiped Maa Mahagauri and received blessings through Havan. Devotees offered prayers at the mother’s feet in temples and houses everywhere in the city. In an atmosphere full of reverence and devotion, the devotees wished the mother’s happiness, prosperity and Mars.
Havan was organized at Maa Bhuyan Devi Temple in Birhana. Hundreds of devotees participated in this holy program organized by the temple committee and sought blessings from Maa Mahagauri by offering prayers in the collective havan. The temple complex was decorated with attractive flowers and lighting, causing divinity and positive energy throughout the atmosphere.
Children enjoy swings in the fair
On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, everyone from children to the elderly participated enthusiastically. After worshiping, the children enjoyed the swings and shops outside the Chowk Badi Kali Ji temple. Devotees said that these days of Navratri are special opportunities to get self -sufficiency and divine grace. Worshiping Maa Mahagauri brings peace, happiness and health in life. In the temples, the atmosphere remained devotional with the tune of Mata Rani’s cheers and drums and drums.
Virgo worship and banquet performed on Sharadiya Navratri
The Child Development Department and Women Welfare Department organized various programs under Mission Shakti along with Kanya Pujan and Bhoj at Regional Rural Development Institute Dabhasamer on the Ashtami of Sharadiya Navratri. The inauguration was lit by District Panchayat President Roli Singh, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta by lighting the lamp.
The children who have completed six months were given Annaprashan, 11 pregnant women were adopted, 101 girls were worshiped and performed. MLA Ram Chandra Yadav, DM Nikhil T. Funde, SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover, CDO KK Singh, DPO AK Tripathi and District Probation Officer and other officials were present.
