Lucknow, Amrit thoughts: The Chhoti Kali Ji Temple located in the Chowk area is not only the center of religious faith, but it is also an important part of the cultural heritage of the city. The 400 -year -old temple is located at the end of the street in front of the Jain temple. It was named Chhoti Kali Ji because later two Kali temples were established nearby, in which it was small in size and expansion.
The statue of Maa Kali installed in the temple was obtained from an ancient well located in the temple complex. Apart from this, idols of Shri Ram Darbar, Radhakrishna, Shiva, Ganesh ji and many other deities are also seated in the campus. During Navratri, thousands of devotees from not only Lucknow but also from the surrounding districts come here to visit. Jagmohan, the priest of the temple, says that the devotee who visits here with true mind and reverence is fulfilled. A huge fair is also held outside the temple, which is especially the center of attraction for women and children. The fair decorates clothes, artificial jewelery, makeup materials and children of children, which gives religious faith as well as cultural colors.
