Each month is divided into two parts Krishna and Shukla Paksha based on the rise and setting of the moon. The 15 days between Purnima and Amavasya are called Krishna Paksha and 15 days between Amavasya and Purnima are called Shukla Paksha. Some festivals are celebrated on the day of Uday Tithi, behind which there is a very special reason. Let’s know about it.
What is Uday Date –
Uday Date is the date that starts from sunrise. When a date starts in the first hour of sunrise, it is called Uday Tithi. For example, if a date starts in noon or evening and ends the next day, afternoon or evening, the festival or fast observed on Uday Tithi will be valid the next day.
Because the next day that date was present at sunrise. In such a situation, even if the date ends early that day, that fast or festival is considered effective throughout the day.
This is the reason
The reason behind celebrating some fast and festival on Uday Tithi is that in Hinduism, sunrise time is considered very auspicious and pure. Also, according to the Hindu calendar, the day begins with Brahma Muhurta, which is considered to be the Uday Date. It is also seen as a symbol of positive energy. At the time of sunrise, positive energy also remains in the atmosphere. In such a situation, keeping the Uday Date in mind, the person who celebrates a fast or festival gets auspicious results.
