2026 MG Hector facelift gets new features like i-SWIPE touch gesture control, new colors and MG SHIELD ownership program
JSW MG Motor India has launched the 2026 MG Hector facelift in India, which has a new design, better features and more premium interior. The starting price of the updated MG Hector has been kept at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Many changes have been made in the external look of the new model, while some updates are also seen in the cabin.
A new chrome grill is provided in the front, which has a bold hexagonal pattern. Along with this, newly designed bumpers have been provided at the front and rear, which give the SUV a wider and stronger look. Apart from this, new alloy wheels have also been added. Two new colors Celadon Blue and Pearl White have been added to the exterior color options.
Talking about the interior, the 5-seater variant gets a new dual-tone Ice Gray theme, while the 6 and 7-seater versions get a two-tone Urban Tan interior. The cabin has features like Hydra Gloss finish, ventilated front seats, 6-way power adjustable driver seat, tilt and telescopic steering, fabric seat insert and optional leather package.

The 2026 MG Hector gets the segment’s largest 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen, which has now been updated with better processing technology. It also has a touch gesture control feature for the first time, through which functions like climate control, audio and navigation can be operated with a finger swipe. Apart from this, features like digital Bluetooth key, predictive maintenance alert, remote AC control, 360-degree HD camera and fully digital instrument cluster are also included.
Mechanically, no changes have been made in MG Hector. Like before, it has a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine, which generates power of 143 PS and torque of 250 Nm. This engine comes with the option of 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox. For safety, features like ABS, EBD, ESC, traction control, hill hold control and brake assist have been provided as standard.
Apart from this, the facelifted Hector includes panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, more than 70 connected features, advanced ADAS, powered tailgate, air purifier. Apart from this, the company also offers benefits like MG Shield Ownership Program, which includes 3 years warranty, roadside assistance and free service. The new Hector can be financed at full on-road price for a tenure of up to 7 years (84 months). Apart from this, customers can also avail 100% financing on accessories of this new SUV.
