The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift has received several changes inside and out and a new 8-speed automatic gearbox has also been added.
Skoda has finally launched the Kushaq facelift in the Indian market and its prices start at Rs 10.69 lakh and go up to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This 5-seater SUV is available in five variants – Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. Its delivery in India will start soon.
The front design features new LED headlamps and a new LED DRL signature, which are connected to segmented lighting elements. Skoda has also updated the grille and redesigned the bumper with a sharper design and metallic inserts. At the rear, the SUV gets updated split LED taillamps and illuminated lettering on the tailgate, making it look more premium and modern.
Many updates have been made inside the cabin as well. The top variants Prestige and Monte Carlo now get a larger fully digital instrument cluster and an updated touchscreen infotainment system with Google-based Assistant. Apart from this, these variants also have ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable seats, panoramic sunroof and upgraded sound system with subwoofer.
A special feature of the new Kushaq is the rear seat massage function, which has been provided for the first time in this segment. The Monte Carlo variant comes with black elements, red accents and special design for its sporty look, while the Prestige variant has been given chrome detailing and bright cabin layout to make it more premium.
Mechanically, the facelifted Kushaq gets the same turbo petrol engine options. It has 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engines, but the gearbox options have been changed. The 1.0-litre engine now comes with a 6-speed manual and a new 8-speed torque converter automatic, while the 1.5-litre engine is available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Rear disc brakes have also been added to the 1.5-litre version for better braking. In terms of safety, 6 airbags are standard in all variants. Apart from this, features like rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and auto-dimming IRVM are also provided. However, the lack of 360-degree camera and ADAS is felt. This SUV will continue to compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Renault Duster and Tata Sierra in the market.
