Ride Connect and Ride Connect TFT variants get single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS)
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has launched the updated version of its best-selling scooter. The company has now introduced Access with single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS). This system prevents wheel lock during sudden or sharp braking and maintains brake pressure balance, especially on slippery or rough roads.
Suzuki says that adding ABS to the Access does not make any difference to the ride quality of the scooter. Its speed holding ability, mileage and comfort remain the same as before. The new ABS variant is special for those who give more importance to safety in traffic. This scooter is now available in two variants.
Access Ride Connect ABS Edition has been priced at Rs 92,328 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in five color options. Which includes Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green and Pearl Shiny seeds. Above this comes the Access Ride Connect TFT ABS Edition variant, which is priced at Rs 98,378 (ex-showroom Delhi). It also has five color options, which include the exclusive Pearl Mat Aqua Silver shade.
To make it more affordable for customers, Suzuki has also introduced several finance and ownership benefits. Customers can avail the loan at interest rates starting from 6.99%, with a zero processing fee scheme also available at authorized dealerships. Apart from this, promotional vouchers up to Rs 5,000 are also being given to customers in select states.
Commenting on the launch, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd said, “In early January, Suzuki launched its first electric scooter e-ACCESS, strengthening the company’s commitment towards future-ready mobility. Now by launching Access with ABS, the company is further strengthening its portfolio, giving customers more options as per their choice.
No changes have been made mechanically. Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine, which generates approximately 8.7 PS of power (at 6,750 rpm) and 10 Nm of torque (at 5,500 rpm). It is mated to CVT automatic transmission.
This scooter has a 5.3 liter fuel tank, telescopic front suspension and swingarm rear suspension. It rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels. Talking about the features, it has 24.4 liters of under-seat storage, front glove box, external fuel lid, 773 mm seat height and 105 kg curb weight.
