Ather Energy has launched the 450X Overtones electric scooter range in the Indian market. This new model is available in new colors like Still White, Space Gray and Lunar Grey. Although its design has remained the same, but the new pattern and finish give it a more premium look. The company says that its design is based on ‘Under-the-Skin Performance’ philosophy. A new 900W charger has also been provided with it, which reduces the charging time by about 30 percent as compared to before.
In Ather 450X Overtones, the company has retained the already available features like AutoHold, Magic Twist, Multi Mode Traction Control and Infinite Cruise. The Infinite Cruise feature helps in comfortable riding on highways and open roads without repeatedly pressing the accelerator, while providing better control even on bad roads and hilly terrain.
This new scooter is based on the Atherstack 7 software platform, which the company introduced at its 2025 Annual Community Day. Through this, the scooter gets the Voice on Other feature, through which the rider can start navigation, find the nearest charging station and control many settings like the brightness of the display only through voice commands.
Ather has also introduced Halo Smart Helmet along with it. This helmet connects the rider’s smartphone, the scooter’s dashboard and the helmet, providing an audio experience without wearing earphones. Halo Smart Helmet works perfectly with Ather 450X Overtones.
With Atherstack 7, the company has also added many new safety features. These include CrashAlert, which automatically sends a message to the rider’s emergency contacts in the event of an accident. The ParkSafe feature warns before parking in areas prone to theft or towing through the Ather app. Apart from this, with the help of LockSafe feature, the rider can completely lock the scooter motor through the app, which reduces the risk of theft.
Ather will also launch its new EL01 electric scooter in the Indian market in the coming months. This will be the company’s affordable family electric scooter, in which Advanced Electronic Braking System (AEBS) will be provided for the first time. Recently the company has also filed a patent for its design. The new scooter is expected to get a swingarm-mounted electric motor.
