New and more powerful exterior
The front design of the new Hilux looks bolder and rugged than before. It has slim LED headlamps, a new grille with honeycomb pattern and ‘TOYOTA’ written in the middle. The front bumper has squeaky black air intakes, large air dam, silver skid plate and LED fog lamps on both sides, making its look quite appealing. The side profile features black wheel arch cladding, new 17-inch alloy wheels, roll bar and footboard for easy entry and exit. At the rear, there are vertical tail lamps with C-shaped LED signature, large TOYOTA lettering on the tailgate and a new stepped bumper for easy access to the cargo bed. The new Hilux comes in Sulfur Metallic, Platinum Pearl White Metallic, Attitude Black, Ash, Emotional Red and Super White color options.
The cabin is completely hi-tech
There has been a major change in the interior of the new Hilux. It has a new dashboard, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A new 3-spoke steering wheel is also available, on which Toyota’s new lettermark branding has been given. The digital driver display has the option of four different themes, while the infotainment system works on the Toyota Smart Connect platform. The cabin has a combination of soft-touch leatherette and hard plastic, making it feel premium as well as durable. The special thing is that the company has also provided physical buttons for important functions like climate control and 4WD system.

The new Hilux has many modern features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, powered and ventilated front seats, multi-terrain modes, OTA (over-the-air) updates, 360-degree camera and ADAS.
No change in engine
Mechanics There has been no change in the new Hilux. It has the same 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine, which produces 204 hp power and 500 Nm torque. A 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is provided with the engine. This pickup is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain options. It has been launched in the Indian market in three variants—GX 4×2, GX 4×4 and VX 4×4.
