After GST 2.0 amendment, vehicles with small petrol cars with less than 4 meters length and engine less than 1.2 liter will now be taxed only 18% instead of 29%. This will directly benefit Hachback and compact sedan cars. At the same time, the tax on diesel cars worth less than 1.5 liters and less than 4 meters has been reduced from 31% to 18%. This has made models such as Kia Sonnet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV3XO and Tata Ultraz Diesel more cheap.
