1. Kia Syros EV

Kia has become the new carmaker to introduce a BaaS model with the new Ciros EV. The standard price of this electric SUV ranges between Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh. However, buyers who choose BaaS can buy it at a starting price of just Rs 7.99 lakh. Battery rental charge has been fixed at Rs 3.30 per kilometer. The company is also offering lifetime high-voltage battery warranty of up to 15 years and unlimited kilometers. The Ciros EV is available with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs. Its range is up to 526 km.
2. MG Comet EV
Starting price Rs 4.92 lakh
MG Comet EV is one of the cheapest electric cars in India. With BaaS programs it becomes even more affordable. Its base executive variant with battery is priced at Rs 7.63 lakh, but under the BaaS scheme, it is priced at just Rs 4.92 lakh. Additionally, there is also a battery subscription charge of Rs 3.2 per kilometer.
3. Tata Punch.ev
Starting price Rs 6.49 lakh
Tata Motors has also introduced BaaS option for the recently launched Punch.ev facelift. Currently this scheme is available on the base Smart variant with 30 kWh battery pack. The price of standard version is Rs 9.69 lakh. However, its buyers can buy it for Rs 6.49 lakh by choosing the BaaS program. Battery rental fee has been fixed at Rs 2.6 per kilometer. This reduces the initial purchase price by Rs 3.2 lakh.
4. Tata Tiago.ev

Tata Tiago.ev facelift has also joined the list of electric vehicles that come with BaaS option. The price of this electric hatchback with battery starts from Rs 6.99 lakh. However, buyers opting for the BaaS scheme can buy it at a much lower starting price of Rs 4.69 lakh. Its battery subscription fee is Rs 2.6 per kilometer. This reduces the initial ownership cost by Rs 2.3 lakh.
5. Maruti Suzuki and Vitara
Starting price Rs 10.99 lakh
Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle E Vitara also comes with BaaS program. The standard Delta variant is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, but with the BaaS scheme it is priced at Rs 10.99 lakh. This reduces the starting price by Rs 5 lakh. There is also a saving of Rs 5.5 lakh on Haier Zeta and Alpha variants. Battery rental charges range between Rs 3.99 to Rs 4.39 per kilometer depending on the variant chosen.
