Honda ADV 160 gets a 156.9cc liquid-cooled engine, which produces 15.8 hp power and 14.7 Nm torque.
Honda may soon launch its premium maxi-scooter ADV 160 in the Indian market. According to a report, the company is working on the localization of this adventure-style scooter to launch it in India. Although no official announcement has been made yet, it is believed that it may be launched by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
Unlike the normal scooters sold in India, the Honda ADV 160 has been designed with an adventure-focused design. It gets a tall windscreen, upright riding position, long single-piece seat, muscular bodywork and beak-style front design. Apart from this, the scooter has been given a ground clearance of 165 mm. It rides on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels shod with tubeless tires measuring 110/80-14 and 130/70-13 respectively.
For power, it has a 156.9cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder eSP+ engine, which has fuel injection and 4-valve technology. This engine generates power of 15.8 HP and torque of 14.7 Nm. The engine is mated to a CVT automatic transmission. Apart from this, ACG starter system and idle stop technology are also provided in it.
Talking about size, length of ADV 160 is 1,950 mm, width is 763 mm and height is 1,196 mm. Its wheelbase is 1,324 mm, while seat height is 780 mm and curb weight is 133 kg. It has a fuel tank of 8.1 liters and this scooter is capable of giving a mileage of approximately 45 km/liter.
In terms of features, ADV 160 looks quite premium. It gets a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, smart key, USB charging socket, adjustable windscreen, full LED lighting and large under-seat storage. Besides, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) is also provided in it. For suspension, telescopic forks have been provided at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
For braking, there is single-channel ABS with disc brake at the front and disc brake at the rear. When launched in India, the Honda ADV 160 will compete with models like the Hero Xoom 160, Yamaha Aerox 155 and TVS Ntorq 150.
