GST rates Shortage After the Jeep Compass, Meridian, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee prices have declined drastically
Jeep India has announced the full benefit of the recently implemented GST tax to the customers. From 22 September 2025, all the major vehicles of the company Compass, Meridian, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee will be drastically cut. This decision will now make the jeep models more economical than ever.
Due to changes in GST slab, ex-showroom prices of these vehicles will be reduced from about Rs 1.26 lakh to Rs 4.8 lakh. The exact benefit will depend on the model and variant. This will not only give a big benefit to the customers of the mid-size SUV but also the premium and full-size SUV segment.

The tax on midsize segment cars has been reduced from 45% to 40%, while large SUVs and premium cars have now come in a slab of 40% instead of 48–50%. Talking model wise, the price of jeep compass has been cut by up to Rs 2.16 lakh. Currently, the price of Jeep Compass goes from Rs 18.99 lakh to Rs 25.41 lakh (ex-showroom) for the trail edition.
At the same time, the price of Jeep Meridian has been cut by up to Rs 2.47 lakh. At present, its price goes from Rs 24.99 lakh to Rs 36.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of Jeep’s Wrangler SUV has been cut by up to Rs 4.84 lakh. Currently, this off-order SUV comes in two variants and the price is Rs 68.65 lakh and Rs 72.65 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. At the same time, the price of Grand Cherokee has been cut by up to Rs 4.50 lakh. Currently the price of this SUV is 67.50 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
