Maruti Suzuki’s new midsize SUV Victoris has achieved a big feat in just a few months of its launch. Since its launch in the market in September 2025 till May 2026, 1,00,144 units of this SUV have been sold. In this way Victoris has become one of the most rapidly popular models of the company.

This achievement is also special because Victoris has entered a segment where there are already many strong rivals. Despite this, this SUV has created a strong identity among the customers in a short time. The tremendous demand during the festive season and consistently good sales in early 2026 took it to the 1 lakh sales mark even before the completion of one year.

Victoris sold 4,261 units in its launch month of September 2025. After this, sales increased to 13,496 units in October. Sales of 12,300 units were recorded in November, while in December this figure stood at 6,210 units. With the start of 2026, demand picked up again and in January Victoris recorded its best ever monthly performance with sales of 15,240 units.

13,021 units were sold in February, 11,062 units in March and 13,701 units in April. Even in May 2026, 10,853 units of this SUV were sold and it stood third in the midsize SUV segment. The special thing was that it even left behind its own company’s Grand Vitara. One of the main reasons for the success of Victoris is considered to be its attractive price and right market positioning.

It is attracting first-time SUV buyers as well as customers upgrading from a hatchback. Maruti Suzuki Victoris has the company’s reliable 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces about 103 HP power and 137 Nm torque. With this, the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is available.

Mild-hybrid technology is also provided in this powertrain. A factory-fitted CNG option is also available for customers looking for lower running costs. Apart from this, a 1.5-litre strong hybrid version is also available, which according to ARAI is capable of giving a mileage of up to 28.65 km/litre.

Depending on the variant, the Victoris comes with premium features like a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, connected car technology, wireless charger, cruise control, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, ADAS, AWD system and panoramic sunroof.
