MG Windsor retains its position as India’s best-selling electric car in 2025
JSW MG Motor India has recorded a strong performance in calendar year 2025, achieving a YoY growth of 19 percent compared to calendar year 2024. The company has sold a total of 70,554 units during January to December 2025, reflecting its continuously strengthening presence in the Indian automobile market.
In December 2025 itself, the company recorded sales of 6,500 units, which makes it clear that there is a demand for MG vehicles in both ICE and electric segments. MG SELECT, the luxury retail channel of MG Motor India, has also made significant progress. The premium network recorded a wholesale growth of 38 per cent month-on-month, mainly due to the overwhelming customer response to the M9 Presidential Limousine and Cyberstar.
The Cyberster has been billed as the world’s fastest MG car, while the M9 Presidential Limousine further strengthens the brand’s position in the ultra-luxury segment. JSW MG Motor India has also achieved a big milestone in the field of electric mobility. The company has so far crossed the sales mark of more than 1 lakh electric vehicles in India, which once again proves its leading role in the EV segment.
During this period, MG Windsor, which is India’s best selling electric car, remained at number one in the passenger EV segment. Talking about MG SELECT, in less than a year of its launch, this luxury retail channel has started 15 experience centers in 14 major cities of the country. Along with this, it remains at second position in the luxury electric vehicle segment of India.
In December 2025, the company also launched the new MG Hector, the starting ex-showroom price of which has been kept at Rs 11.99 lakh. Additionally, to enhance customer confidence and long-term ownership value, the company has introduced an industry-first Extended Assured Buy-Back Program in the EV segment. Under this scheme, MG EV customers can get the guaranteed resale value of their vehicle after 3, 4 or 5 years, which is considered to be a unique initiative in the Indian EV market.
Overall, the year 2025 has been a year full of achievements for JSW MG Motor India, in which the company has further strengthened its position on all three fronts – sales, electric mobility and premium segment.
