JSW MG Motor India has sold 50,000 units of MG Windsor in less than 400 days
JSW MG Motor India today announced that MG Windsor has created a huge sales record of 50,000 units in just one year. With this, MG Windsor has become the first electric car in India to cross the 50,000 sales mark in the shortest time. This success shows that MG Windsor continues to maintain its strong hold in the 4-wheeler EV segment in India.
This milestone proves that MG Windsor is becoming increasingly popular among customers looking for modern and sustainable mobility solutions. This electric car has received good response not only from big cities but also from small cities, which shows that India is ready to adopt electric mobility. The success of MG Windsor is attributed to its modern design, great performance and great ownership experience, which is appealing to today’s consumers.
Speaking on the occasion, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said, “When we launched Windsor EV, our aim was to deliver an electric car that was practical, stylish and value for money, while also accelerating EV adoption in India. Windsor EV has touched 50,000 sales in record time, which is a big step in India’s EV journey and shows that customers are really liking EVs.”
Recently JSW MG Motor India launched a limited-edition series named MG Windsor Inspire, which was introduced by the Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Shri Nitin Gadkari. MG Windsor, India’s first Intelligent CUV, has established itself as a modern and luxurious car, bringing a new change in the EV segment.
This car offers a great blend of comfort, style and new technology. The starting price of MG Windsor EV in India is Rs 9.99 lakh under the BaaS scheme, with battery rental at Rs 3.9 per kilometer. MG Windsor EV gives power of 136 PS and torque of 200 Nm. The MG Windsor features a futuristic ‘aeroglide’ design.
Business-class comfort is provided inside the car, with ‘Aero Lounge’ seats that recline up to 135 degrees, providing utmost comfort. Additionally, there is a larger 15.6-inch Grandview touch display on the center console. The Windsor EV Exclusive Pro trim is powered by a 52.9 kWh battery pack and offers a certified range of 449 km in MIDC conditions. The Essence Pro variant is also equipped with Level 2 ADAS, V2V and V2L capabilities.
