The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has been added with a new design and additional features and will be launched soon.
Hero MotoCorp is soon going to launch its new Extreme 160R 4V Combat Edition bike. Its units have already been seen at the dealership. It is considered to be the most feature-packed Extreme till date and the biggest change is seen in its front design. This top model has a new LED headlamp inspired by the Extreme 250R.
The updated front section now features a new LCD dashboard with negative graphics. The display offers better visibility and a sporty look. Mild changes have been made in the paint and graphics, due to which the bike’s identity has become more attractive while maintaining its identity. The biggest update is in its electronics and now the Combat Edition has a ride-by-wire throttle system, which makes the performance smoother.
It has three different riding modes along with cruise control, which is given for the first time in the 160 cc segment in India and ever since this feature came in the Glamor X, we have been telling you that it will be included in more models. New switchgear located on both handlebars allows riders to toggle between ride modes and activate cruise control on the go.
The cruise control system allows the rider to ride the bike at a fixed speed without constantly twisting the accelerator. This bike has KYB upside-down forks at the front and monoshock unit at the rear for suspension. For braking, it has been fitted with dual disc brakes and dual-channel ABS, which ensures better control and safety.
Although Hero MotoCorp has not yet given official information about its price, it is expected that its price will be slightly higher than the current top variant (about Rs 1.31 lakh, ex-showroom). Due to the new features, the Extreme 160R 4V has now become the most value-for-money bike in its segment, because features like cruise control and ride modes available in it are usually seen only in big and expensive motorcycles.
Apart from this, this motorcycle is equipped with a 163.2 cc air and oil-cooled, four-valve engine, which produces 16.6 bhp power and 14.6 Nm torque, which is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
