The new Tata Punch EV facelift is available in 30 kWh and 40 kWh battery packs with a claimed range of up to 464 km
Tata Motors has made several big launches in the last few months, which include the facelift version of Sierra and Punch Petrol. Now the company has introduced the new Punch EV in the Indian market. The facelift model has also received some technical improvements along with styling updates. The company claims that this electric SUV can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes. The model with 30 kWh battery can run about 275 km on a single full charge.
At the same time, with a large 40 kWh battery pack, this car gives a range of up to 464 km as per ARAI certification. However, in real driving conditions (C75) its range is around 355 km. The starting price of the new Punch EV is Rs 6.49 lakh with BaaS and battery rental at Rs 2.6 per km, while the starting price with battery is Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Punch EV has been launched in six variants and below we have given information about the price and features of all the variants.
1. Smart 30 – Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom)
The entry-level Smart 30 variant gets LED DRLs, automatic climate control, illuminated logo steering wheel and 50+ connected car features. For safety, it has been provided with features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), rear parking sensor and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
2. Smart+ 30 – Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom)
This variant gets shark fin antenna (with GPS), 4-speaker sound system and manual day/night IRVM. Apart from this, it gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support), regular and 65W USB Type-C ports, steering mounted audio controls and all power window controls from the driver’s side. This variant also offers intensity adjustment of regenerative braking via paddle shifters and central locking with remote key.
3. Smart+ 40 – Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom)
It gets 16-inch steel wheels, electronic parking brake (with auto hold) and jeweled control knob. For safety reasons, hill hold control and reverse parking camera have been added to it. Besides, a vanity mirror has also been provided for the co-driver.
4. Adventure 40 – Rs 11.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Adventure 40 variant gets passive keyless entry, push-button start/stop and cruise control. It comes with 16-inch hyper-style steel wheels and electrically adjustable ORVMs. To improve safety, it has been provided with hill descent control and follow-me-home headlamps.
5. Empowered 40 – Rs 12.29 lakh (ex-showroom)
This variant gives a big upgrade in terms of style and technology. It gets 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, connected taillamps and dual-tone roof. Features include electric folding ORVMs, storage box in the front center armrest, cooled glovebox, USB Type-A port, 15W rear USB Type-C port, Alexa Car-to-Home and air purifier.
Tech features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster (with navigation view) and a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system (wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Arcade.ev 2.0 app suite and multiple voice assistants). Safety includes blind spot monitor, 360-degree camera, automatic headlamps, rear wiper and auto defogger.
6. Empowered+ S 40 – Rs 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
The top variant gets voice-assisted electric sunroof, front seat ventilation, leatherette seat cover, rear center armrest and wireless smartphone charger. Apart from this, roof rails give it a more premium SUV look. For safety, auto-dimming IRVM, LED headlamps, LED front fog lamps (with cornering function) and SOS calling function are provided.
