Nissan Tekton launched in India for Rs 10.49 lakh, delivery will start from July 20 – 2 turbo petrol engines

Nissan has revealed the prices of its new Tekton midsize SUV in India. Coming above Magnite in the company’s lineup, this SUV has been launched in the most competitive SUV segment of the country. The new Tekton shares its platform with the Renault Duster, but has a completely different design and is inspired by Nissan’s flagship Patrol SUV.

Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 10.49 lakh, while the price of the top variant goes up to Rs 18.59 lakh. The new Nissan Tekton is offered with two turbo-petrol engine options. The first T160 engine gives power of 100 PS and torque of 166 Nm. It comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and according to the company, its mileage is 19.4 kmpl.

At the same time, the second T280 turbo petrol engine generates power of 163 PS and torque of 280 Nm. This engine is available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed wet dual-clutch (DCT) automatic gearbox. The claimed mileage of the manual version is 17.8 kmpl and that of the DCT version is 18.5 kmpl. Paddle shifters and steering modes are also provided in the automatic variant.

In terms of safety, 6 airbags are provided as standard in Nissan Tekton. Apart from this, there are many other features like EBD with ABS, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear child lock, emergency stop signal, speed sensing door lock, immobilizer, follow-me-home headlamps, front disc brake, rollover sensor, automatic hazard warning, high-tensile steel body and side impact protection beams. Safety features are available.

Talking about the features, the new Tekton has features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Stop and Go Function, Traffic Sign Recognition, Powered Tailgate, Electronic Shifter, Electronic Parking Brake, Wireless Phone Charger with Cooling, 360-Degree Camera, 3D Around View Monitor, Walk Away Lock and Approach Unlock.

A dual screen setup is available in the cabin, in which Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play can be used with Google built-in support. Apart from this, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, power adjustable front seats, ambient LED lighting, high center console, better storage space and large boot space of 700 liters are also provided. Nissan claims that it offers more than 55 connected car features, which include remote engine start, remote lock/unlock, remote AC control, Find My Car and vehicle status monitoring.

The new Nissan Tekton T160 engined models are available in 6 variants, priced from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). At the same time, T280 engine also comes in 6 variants, whose price ranges from Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is offering it with 11 exterior color options (6 monotone and 5 dual-tone) and 4 interior themes. Its booking has started, while delivery will start from July 20, 2026.

Nissan is also offering customers more than 50 accessory options, 5 years Nissan Care programme, 5 years warranty (3+2 years) and 5 years maintenance package. In the Indian market, it will compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyrider, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor.
