Ola has become India’s first electric manufacturer to cross the production figure of one million vehicles
In less than four years of time, the company has achieved the position that no one had imagined while starting production in 2021. Ola has produced 1 million two-wheelers from Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. With this, Ola has become the first Indian company to achieve this big achievement by creating only electric vehicles.
Ola Electric has launched a special edition of Roadster X+ to celebrate its major achievement. Which has been prepared in dark midnight blue color and red highlights on rims, dual-tone seat and battery casing. Its special thing is that it has unique badges made from recycled copper scraps and electroplated bar ends.
In the recent annual resolution program, Ola introduced new products based on its indigenous 4680 Bharat Sale technology. The two models are in the first stage, including 9.1 kwh battery roadster X+ and 5.2 kwh pack S1 Pro+. Their prices have been kept at Rs 1,89,999 and Rs 1,69,999 respectively and their delivery is expected to start during Navratri.
The domestic manufacturer has also unveiled a new scooter S1 Pro Sport. This sporty scooter, which comes with 4 kwh and 5.2 kwh battery pack, will come in the market at an initial price of Rs 1,49,999. Its delivery will start from January 2026. The Ola S1 Pro Sport has a 16 kwh electric motor that works closely with a 5.2 kwh battery pack operated by 4680 India SAIL.
According to the IDC, its riding range is up to 320 km and its maximum speed is 152 km per hour. It is said that it can catch a speed of 0 to 40 km per hour in only 2 seconds. The S1 portfolio has been the center of advancement of Ola, but with a new move in motorcycles and performance scooters like Roadster X, the company is trying to attract new customers.
Commenting on this new achievement, a spokesperson of Ola Electric said, “It is a symbol of celebration for every Indian who trusted us and believed in our mission. In four years, we have become the leading of India’s electric two -wheeler sector. We have built a large scale and proved that world -class products can be designed, engineers and manufactured in India here.”
