The Simple Ultra electric scooter has a large 6.5 kWh battery pack and can achieve a top speed of 115 km/h.
Simple Energy has today launched its new electric scooter Simple Ultra in the Indian market, whose ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 2.35 lakh. This is the company’s flagship model and has a large 6.5 kWh battery pack, which gives a range of 400 km (IDC) on a single full charge. Its booking had already started and according to the company, its delivery has also started across the country. Ultra is the fourth electric scooter in the company’s portfolio, after the Dot One, One and OneS.
Company Founder and CEO Suhas Rajkumar said, “Simple Ultra is designed for customers who want long range and strong performance. With a range of 400 km and high-performance setup, it sets a new benchmark in the electric two-wheeler segment in India.
Talking about the features, it has a 7-inch instrument cluster and 4-level traction control as standard. Its top speed is 115 km/h and it accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.77 seconds. According to the company, it is the second fastest electric scooter in India, after the Simple One (5 kWh variant).
Currently, Simple Energy has more than 70 sales and service outlets across the country, which are present in cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Agra, Goa, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kochi and Chennai. In the coming time, the company will also expand its reach to new cities like Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar.
It is worth noting that due to its high price, this scooter will not be eligible for PM E-Drive subsidy as it is above Rs 1.50 lakh. Also, it will not benefit from the incentives available under Delhi EV Policy 2026, because its price exceeds the limit of Rs 2.25 lakh.
Earlier, the company had launched Simple One Gen 2 at a starting price of Rs 1.95 lakh, which has a range of 236 km and 265 km. Whereas, Simple OneS Gen 2 is available for Rs 1.75 lakh with a range of 190 km. The biggest feature of Simple Ultra is its big battery and long range, due to which it currently has no direct competition in the Indian market.
