Boxy design like WagonR
Spy photos reveal that the company is going to offer a compact and boxy design like the concept in the production model. Its tall-boy styling is quite reminiscent of the WagonR. The testing model was completely camouflaged, but the projector headlamps, straight front fascia and slatted bumper were clearly visible. Apart from this, it has been given sporty alloy wheels, round wheel arches, flush door handle and straight beltline. Camera based ORVMs were provided in the concept model, but the production version will get traditional ORVMs, which will also have integrated turn indicators.
The new EV will be very compact
According to Suzuki, Vision e-Sky has been designed keeping daily use in mind. It will be perfect for office commuting, shopping and short trips. The length of the concept model was 3,395 mm and if the same size is retained in the production model, it will be among the most compact A-segment electric cars in Europe. At the rear, this EV will get C-shaped pixel style LED taillights, roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper, large rear windscreen and flat bumper. The low rear overhang further enhances its compact design.
Range more than 270Km
Suzuki has not yet shared the complete technical specifications of this electric car, but the company has confirmed that it will give a range of more than 270 kilometers on a single charge. It is expected to get a single electric motor with front-wheel drive. The battery pack may be around 25-30 kWh. This car will be based on the new skateboard platform designed for micro-EV.
Modern features will be available in the cabin
The interior of the concept model featured a wonderful blend of traditional Japanese design and modern technology. It was given features like multi-color cabin, ambient lighting, dual screen setup, wireless charger, square shape 3-spoke steering wheel and tray-style dashboard. Most of these features are expected to be available in the production model also.
Can be launched in India also
According to reports, Suzuki may also bring an India-specific version of e-Sky after launching it in Europe in 2027. If this happens, it will give direct competition to affordable electric cars like Tata Tiago EV, MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3 in the country. With its low price, compact size and range of more than 270 km, it can become a strong option for Indian customers.
