Tata Altroz iCNG AMT has a 1.2-litre Revotron iCNG engine, which gives 73.5 PS power and 103 Nm torque in CNG mode.
Tata Motors has today launched Altroz iCNG AMT in the Indian market. With this, Altroz has become India’s first and only premium hatchback, which has an automatic (AMT) gearbox with CNG powertrain. Its starting ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 8.69 lakh.
The company says that the new Altroz iCNG AMT will provide customers with better mileage of CNG along with the facility of automatic driving. Through this, Tata wants to further strengthen its ‘Feel Special’ premium experience. The price of Pure variant has been kept at Rs 8.69 lakh, Pure S variant has been priced at Rs 8.99 lakh, Creative variant has been priced at Rs 9.56 lakh, Creative S variant has been priced at Rs 9.81 lakh and Accomplished S variant has been priced at Rs 10.76 lakh.
Commenting on the launch, Vivek Srivatsa said, “Altroz has always set new standards in the premium hatchback segment through design, safety and different powertrain options. He said that the demand for CNG vehicles in India is growing rapidly and is no longer limited to just the traditional markets. According to him, by adding AMT to the iCNG lineup, the company is catering to the customers who want a more comfortable and easier driving experience in a CNG car.”
Tata Altroz iCNG AMT has a 1.2-litre Revotron iCNG engine, which generates 73.5 PS power and 103 Nm torque in CNG mode. It features a single advanced ECU technology, which ensures smooth transitions between petrol and CNG modes. Also, this car can start directly in CNG mode.
Under the company’s Twin Cylinder iCNG technology, both the cylinders are installed under the boot floor, which provides 210 liters of boot space even in CNG mode. Boot space of 345 liters is available in petrol and diesel variants. The new Tata Altroz iCNG AMT has flush door handles, Infinity Connected LED tail lamps and LED headlamps with DRLs.
Inside the cabin, executive lounge style rear seats, soft touch dashboard and Harman’s 26.03 cm twin digital screen setup are available. Apart from this, ambient lighting and spacious cabin make it more premium. Altroz is among the safest hatchback cars in India and has received a 5-star safety rating in India NCAP. It has 6 as standard airbagsESP, ISOFIX mounts and reverse parking sensors are provided. Also features like 360-degree HD surround view camera, tire pressure monitoring system, auto headlamps and LED fog lamps are also available.
