Tata Sierra EV is expected to get 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options and may also be provided with advanced technology like bi-directional charging.
Tata Motors has released another teaser of the Sierra EV ahead of its launch on June 30. In this new video, the company has confirmed that a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) version of the electric SUV will also be available. The “QWD Dual Motor” badge on the SUV is clearly visible in the teaser, which suggests that the new Sierra EV will be offered in multiple variants.
The teaser shows the Sierra EV driving on sandy roads, which shows that its AWD system can maintain good grip even on bad roads. Full-length LED taillight, large tailgate, black glass, roof spoiler, Tata logo and Sierra.ev badge are seen at the rear of the SUV.
Talking about wheels, it has been given dual-tone aero-style alloy wheels, which are fitted with Michelin tyres. Apart from this, thick body cladding and square wheel arches give it a strong and powerful SUV look. The video also shows the high window line, roof rails, strong shoulder line and simple rear design.
The front design of Sierra EV was revealed in the teaser released earlier. It has a full width LED DRL strip, LED headlamps at the bottom and a closed front grille. At the same time, vertical lighting elements are also present on both the sides. It also maintains the identity associated with the petrol and diesel Sierra.
Tata Motors has not yet shared official information related to the battery pack. However, it is expected that it can be given 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs like Harrier EV. Its range is expected to be more than 500 km on a single charge. Besides, modern facilities like DC fast charging and bi-directional charging can also be found in it.
Talking about the features, Sierra EV will also have features like triple-screen dashboard, JBL audio system, Dolby Atmos, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, connected car technology, electric parking brake, powered tailgate and level-2 ADAS. After launch, it will compete with electric SUVs like Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Kia Carens Clavis EV, MG ZS EV and Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella.
