XPRES petrol and CNG variants come with an extendable warranty up to 5 years or 1.80 lakh km (whichever is earlier)
India’s leading automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has today launched its popular fleet sedan Tata XPRES in petrol and CNG variants. Earlier the XPRES was available only in electric form (XPRES EV). With the new variants the company aims to cover the large fleet and commercial mobility market. This move further strengthens Tata’s multi-powertrain strategy, providing fleet operators with reliable vehicles that can run for longer periods without stopping.
Booking for Tata XPRES Petrol and CNG has started at authorized fleet dealerships across the country. Its starting ex-showroom price in Delhi has been kept at Rs 5.59 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 6.59 lakh for the CNG variant, which makes it very affordable in its segment.
The new XPRES Petrol and CNG are powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which is offered with a manual gearbox. Both these variants have been specifically designed keeping fleet usage in mind, to deliver reliable and durable performance over a long period of time. The special thing is that XPRES CNG has a segment-first 70 liter (water capacity) twin-cylinder CNG tank, which is the largest capacity tank in this segment. Due to this, there is no need to worry about refilling CNG again and again during long distance journeys.
There has been no compromise on boot space thanks to the smart packaging of the twin-cylinder CNG system. This feature is extremely important for fleet operators as it significantly reduces booking losses due to less luggage space. At the same time, the petrol variant has the largest boot space of 419 litres, which puts it at the forefront in the petrol fleet sedan segment.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Srivastava, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, said, “Tata XPRES has been designed keeping in mind the exact needs of fleet customers. With 70 liter twin-cylinder CNG, large boot space, reliable engine, long warranty, exclusive finance schemes and dedicated fleet dealerships, XPRES is now a future-ready mobility solution in both electric and ICE options.”
For the convenience of fleet operators, a standard warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh km is being given on the XPRES ICE variant, which can be extended up to 5 years or 1.80 lakh km. Additionally, with low maintenance costs of just Rs 0.47 per km and attractive finance options, the Tata XPRES Petrol and CNG is positioned as the best value for money fleet sedan in its segment.
