Tata’s upcoming premium electric SUV Avinya
Tata Avinya was first introduced by the company as a concept in 2022 and since then only its concept models were seen. Now for the first time its production-ready model has been seen testing on Indian roads. It is believed that it will be launched with the name Avinya X and it can knock in India in 2027. The model seen during testing was completely covered, so complete details of its design have not been revealed.
However, its size and proportions suggest that the production model will look quite similar to the Avinya X concept. Long wheelbase, low roofline and fastback style design can be seen in it. Although some of the extreme design elements of the concept may be simplified in the production model, it will look more premium than Tata’s current electric cars.

The company currently has a strong hold in the mass-market EV segment, but through Avinya X, it will try its strength in the premium electric SUV segment for the first time. Now it remains to be seen how well it meets the expectations of the customers in terms of sales and after-sales service.
