Maruti Ertiga has secured the first position in the list of top 10 best-selling 7-seater cars in May 2026.
India’s 7-seater passenger vehicle (PV) segment performed strongly in May 2026. During this period, total sales of top 10 models were more than 83,000 units, in which MPV and SUV segments had the biggest contribution. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga once again took the first position in terms of sales, while Mahindra has registered a strong presence in the top 10 with four models.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has recorded sales of 20,350 units in May 2026, up 26.1 percent from last year. Its share in the 7-seater segment was 22.9 percent. This means that out of every four 7-seater vehicles sold in May, almost one was Ertiga.
Mahindra Scorpio stood at second place, whose 15,774 units were sold. Scorpio registered a YoY growth of 9.5 percent and achieved 17.8 percent share in the segment. Combined sales of Toyota Innova Crysta and Hycross stood at 10,325 units, which is 16.2 percent more than last year. The Innova series continues to be popular among both private and fleet customers.

Combined sales of Mahindra XUV 7XO and XUV700 stood at 9,338 units, which is 45.1 percent higher than last year. With this, this model stood at fourth position. Whereas Bolero secured fifth position in the list with sales of 8,933 units. However, its sales remained almost stable and registered a slight decline of 0.1 percent.
Combined sales of Kia Carens and Clavis stood at 6,208 units, up 37.2 percent from last year. Maruti Suzuki XL6 took the seventh position with sales of 3,770 units. Its sales have increased by 7.5 percent. Mahindra’s new electric SUV XEV 9S has secured the eighth position in the list with sales of 3,502 units.
At the same time, sales of Toyota Fortuner were recorded at 2,905 units and it stood ninth in the list with a growth of 13 percent. At the same time, Toyota Rumion MPV stood at tenth position with sales of 2,119 units. Combined sales of Scorpio, XUV 7XO, Bolero and It is clear from this that Mahindra’s hold in the 7-seater segment is becoming stronger, while Maruti Suzuki Ertiga still remains the first choice of customers.
