Honda Activa remains the best-selling scooter in June 2026, while iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Ather Rizta have registered strong sales growth on a yearly basis
India’s scooter market performed brilliantly in June 2026. Total sales of the top-10 best-selling scooters stood at 6,36,315 units, which is 38 percent more as compared to 4,60,440 units sold in June 2025. During this period, Honda Activa once again achieved the first position in sales. However, the increasing popularity of electric scooters is also now clearly visible.
Honda Activa sold 2,18,932 units in June 2026, which is 19 percent more than the same month last year. Activa alone has registered more than one-third share in the total sales of top-10 scooters. Due to its strong reliability, good mileage, good resale value and Honda’s large service network, it remains the first choice of customers.
TVS Jupiter stood at the second position, with 1,36,805 units sold and an annual growth of 27 percent. Suzuki Access stood at third place, with sales of 63,121 units. Its sales also increased by 22 percent. It is clear from this that despite the increasing demand for electric scooters, the popularity of petrol scooters still remains intact.

TVS iQube has registered the biggest growth among electric scooters. It sold 47,331 units, which is 232 percent more than 14,244 units in June last year. At the same time, Bajaj Chetak also performed brilliantly and recorded sales of 40,376 units and its sales increased by 126 percent. Both electric scooters have benefited from new variants and growing EV acceptance among customers.
TVS Ntorq was the country’s best selling sporty scooter. It sold 37,762 units and recorded an annual growth of 65 percent. At the same time, sales of family scooter Ather Rizta almost doubled to 24,742 units, which is an increase of 97 percent. Yamaha Ray sold 22,782 units and Suzuki Burgman Street sold 22,454 units.
Hero Destini 125 remained at the last position in the top-10 list. It sold 22,010 units and recorded an annual growth of 9 percent. Overall, the data for June 2026 shows that petrol scooters are still the best sellers in the Indian market, but the sales of electric scooters are growing at a much faster pace. At present, EV scooters have not been able to leave petrol scooters behind, but if this pace continues then the market picture may change in the coming one or two years.
