The Yamaha Aerox-E Performance Electric Maxi Scooter gets a 9.5 kW electric motor, two removable battery packs and a TFT display with connected features
Yamaha has revealed the price of its first premium electric maxi scooter Aerox-E in India. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 2.82 lakh. Through this electric scooter, which was introduced for the first time in November 2025, the company has launched its popular Aerox series in the EV segment.
Its design and sporty character has been kept largely similar to Aerox 155. At present, it has also become the most expensive two-wheeler of Yamaha in India. Yamaha Aerox-E has a 9.5 kW electric motor, which generates peak torque of 48 Nm.
It comes with two removable lithium-ion battery packs of 1.5 kWh capacity each, giving a total capacity of 3 kWh. According to the company, these batteries can be easily removed and charged at home or office. This scooter claims to give a range of up to 117 km (IDC) on full charge. The Aerox-E weighs 139 kg, which is about 13 kg more than the petrol Aerox 155.
Riders can choose Eco, Standard and Power riding modes as per their need. Apart from this, Boost Mode is also provided in it, which gives additional power during overtaking or fast acceleration. Its top speed is 95.5 km/h and it has 14-inch Y-shaped alloy wheels.
Apart from this, Reverse Mode is also available in it, which makes parking in tight places easier. Talking about design, Aerox-E looks quite similar to the petrol model. It has a muscular body, X-shaped design, sharp body panel, full-LED lighting, twin LED headlamps, LED turn indicators and LED taillight with 3D effect.
In terms of features, the scooter has a full-color TFT instrument display, which has the facility of turn-by-turn navigation. Apart from this, connected features like maintenance reminder, ride statistics and Last Parked Location can also be used through Yamaha Y-Connect app. Smart Key and external charging port are also provided in it.
For safety, Aerox-E has front and rear disc brakes, with which single-channel ABS is available. The company claims that its suspension has been retuned to take into account the additional battery weight, resulting in better stability during cornering and a sporty riding experience.
