Yamaha XSR155 has a 155 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 18.4 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
Yamaha has today introduced its popular bike XSR155 in the Indian market in a new Metallic Black color option and its price has been kept at Rs 1,58,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from this new color, this motorcycle can be purchased in Metallic Blue, Vivid Red, Metallic Grey, and Greyish Green Metallic. The new color makes the neo-retro style of the bike look more sporty.
The new paint scheme features gold colored upside-down front forks with black bodywork, which makes its design more premium. The color further accentuates the sculpted fuel tank, simple body panels and classic style detailing. Apart from this, no other changes have been made in the bike.
The XSR155 is powered by a 155 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which includes Yamaha’s Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. The new emission norms compliant engine produces 18.4 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.
The bike is based on Yamaha’s famous Deltabox frame and has a curb weight of 137 kg. Talking about the size, its length is 2,005 mm, width is 805 mm and height is 1,080 mm, while the wheelbase is 1,325 mm. Seat height is 810 mm and ground clearance is 170 mm. It has a 10 liter fuel tank and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The suspension gets upside-down forks at the front and an aluminum swingarm with a linked-type monocross setup at the rear. Dual-channel ABS and traction control system is also provided for braking. Since its launch in November last year, the XSR155 has been popular among riders who want the perfect blend of retro looks and sporty performance.
Commenting on the new color option, Hajime Aota, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said, “Metallic Black XSR155 is not just a new color, but it further strengthens our connection with riders who want differentiation, performance and style together. He said that the company will continue to bring bikes that make customers feel proud and provide a great riding experience.”
