BCCI gives exemption to Rohit, Virat and 1 player, they will get direct place in the test team

New Delhi. According to the new rules of BCCI, every player who is not playing for India will have to play domestic matches in his free time. To make a place in the Test team, every player has been made compulsory to play at least 1 domestic match. Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma along with star batsman Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah will not need to play domestic matches to make a place in the Test team.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah had made it clear last year that it is necessary for every Indian player to play domestic cricket. When Team India players are not playing in any series, they have to be available to play in the match for their domestic team. Last year, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan did not play domestic matches even after the order, due to which both were dropped from the central contract and also lost their place in the team.

3 players will get exemption
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, former captain Virat Kohli and experienced fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah have been kept out of the list released by BCCI. Apart from this, BCCI has made it clear for all the players who have made it to the team or are sitting out that they will have to play at least 1 domestic match.

Test series against Bangladesh and New Zealand
The Indian team has to play a Test series with Bangladesh and New Zealand at home. Duleep Trophy matches will be played in August. It is considered important for all the players to strengthen their preparations before the series. The National Selection Committee selects the team for Duleep Trophy.
