Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi shook the internet when they announced their relationship in a social media post earlier this year. However, now things in their relationship do not seem as happy and comfortable as they did then. Or at least that’s what can be understood after the latest changes made by Lalit Modi to his profile on social media.
When Modi announced that he was dating former Miss Universe Sushmita, he changed his bio and profile picture on Instagram. The businessman shared a picture of himself posing with ‘love of your life’ Sushmita and wrote that he is now starting a new life.
His bio read, “Finally starting a new life with my partner in crime. My love @sushmitasen47” However, now there is no mention of Sushmita in Modi’s profile and bio. His profile picture features a national flag and his bio simply mentions ‘Founder of IPL’. The post in which he has shared several pictures of Sushmita remains on his Instagram.
Internet trolls soon targeted Sushmita Sen, calling her a gold digger for romancing an older man. Clearing all the negativity, the actress had written, “I am a gold digger… and I have always preferred (famously) diamonds! I love the full support of my well-wishers and loved ones. Please know, your Sush is absolutely fine.. because I have never lived on the momentary borrowed light of approval and applause. I am the Sun…. completely centered in my existence and my sanity!”
Recently, Sushmita Sen’s elder daughter Renee Sen turned 23 and her birthday was attended by Sushmita Sen’s ex-boyfriend Rohman Shawl and Hrithik Bhasin.
IPL founder Lalit Modi, who announced in July that he was dating Sushmita Sen, has changed his bio on Instagram, sparking speculation about his split with the actress and former beauty queen.
She captioned one post: “In London after a whirlwind global tour with families in the #Maldives #Sardinia – with my #betterlooking partner @sushmitasen47. Love doesn’t mean marriage yet. But one that will by the grace of God. I just announced that we are together.” It also featured a photo of his ex-wife Minal Modi, who died in 2018.
In other pictures, Sen, 46, and Modi were seen on a boat with their family and friends, dining at a restaurant, and clicking a few selfies. Then, there were his pictures from IPL days. In one photo, Modi held Sen by her hair, looking at her lovingly, while she smiled.
Naturally, this shocked many people, who found them to be the most unlikely couple. In response, the former Miss Universe shared a selfie with her daughters and wrote, ‘I am in a happy place! No wedding…no ring…surrounded by unconditional love! Adequate explanation given…now back to life and work!”
Well, whatever may be the truth, these speculations have brought both of them in the news and both have become the topic of discussion again.
