Action in five places by the departmental team
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has been given clear instructions for strict action while working on the policy of zero tolerance on illegal mining activities. Principal Secretary, Department of Mines and Geology, Shri T. Ravikant said that during an action in Bhankarota, Jaipur, it was decided to take surprise action in a confidential manner by the department for getting illegal activity of mineral iron ore and instructions were given to the authorities for a comprehensive level of action as soon as they were instructed. Superintending Chani Engineer Shri NS Shaktawat said that during the surprise inspection issued for three days, two separate FIRs have been lodged in Bahrod police station and Sarund police station, seizing 1895 tonnes of iron ore raw minerals and finish minerals. The first action was taken at Girish Minerals and Grinding Company in Rico area of Bahrod. Here it has been found to finish the iron ore from Krasar. Illegal storage of 90 tonnes of raw iron ore and 160 tonnes of finish iron ore was found in the campus in the company. The company’s record shown Mesenary Stone and Red Ocar and on the spot, iron ore was found in their place. The owners of the Krasar Company were not available on the spot, but Santosh Janak could not be answered regarding the iron ore stored by the company personnel available on the spot. First information reports were filed by the department under sections 4 and 21 of the MMDR Act at Bahrod police station.
The departmental team has lodged an FIR against the concerned, seizing the iron ore reserves at 5 places in Nareeda and Chimanpura and surrounding areas of Kotputli. A report has been lodged in Sarund police station after seizing 295 tonnes of Finnish Loh Ores in Banke Bihari Mine and Minerals near Jagdamba Dharma Cantte in Narera. Similarly, 450 tonnes of finish iron ore and other 150 tonnes of iron ore have been seized near Neem’s police station. 800 tonnes of illegal stored iron ore has been seized in Chimanpura.
It is worth noting that in the first week of September, illegal iron ore was caught by the team under the direction of Jaipur Mining Engineer Mr. Shyam Kapri in Bhankarota area of Jaipur. After this, action is going on in the area for three days by collecting information in a confidential manner. According to the input received by the department, action is going on in possible areas by including officers of Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Kotputli etc.
