55.57 km long four lane widening project of Mau-Ballia National Highway 128B approved

Lucknow, June 7 (). The 55.57 km long four-lane widening project of Mau-Ballia National Highway-128B of Uttar Pradesh has been approved. This much awaited project of Purvanchal is being considered as a milestone for regional development.

Immediately after getting the approval, the Minister has written a letter to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) demanding to speed up the tender process and construction work. This is being considered an important achievement towards the infrastructure and economic development of Purvanchal. After the approval of the project, Minister AK Sharma sent a letter to the Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) requesting him to start the tender process and construction work soon.

He said that in the past also there has been continuous correspondence and communication at high level regarding this project. The people of the area had been demanding the widening of this highway for a long time. Minister AK Sharma said that Mau-Ballia four lane is not just a road construction project, but it will become a strong base for the economic, social and industrial development of Purvanchal. With its construction, the traffic system will become more convenient, travel time will be significantly reduced and road safety standards will also improve.

He said that construction of several railway overbridges is also proposed under the project, which will remove the obstacles in traffic and provide uninterrupted transportation facilities to the people. This will give impetus to business activities, investment opportunities will increase and common citizens including farmers, businessmen, students will get direct benefits.

AK Sharma expressed confidence that after the completion of the project, economic activities in Mau, Ballia and surrounding districts will get new energy. He said that this four lane will develop as a new growth corridor for the economy of Purvanchal and will write a new chapter in the overall development of the region.

The Minister has urged NHAI to expedite the implementation of the project keeping in mind the public aspirations, so that the people of the area can get the benefits of this important infrastructure facility as soon as possible.
