New Delhi, July 22 (). The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Tuesday clarified that it has called its supporters only for a peaceful demonstration at Jantar Mantar. The party said no call has been given for gathering in other parts of Delhi.
Abhijeet Dipke released a video and said that information has been received that some anti-social elements may have been sent to create disturbance in other areas of Delhi. He said that such people are not associated with CJP and have no connection with the party.
The party appealed to its supporters to participate only in the peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar and not fall prey to any rumor or incitement.
At the same time, Delhi Police also presented its stand regarding an incident that took place in New Delhi area. According to the police, around 8 o’clock a group of youths reached near the barricades and pelted stones at the police force present there. During this period some barricades were also demolished.
Delhi Police said that the policemen appealed to the people to maintain peace by maintaining distance. After some time the group left from there and the situation became normal.
According to the police, no force was used anywhere in the New Delhi area and the situation became completely calm within a few minutes.
Let us tell you that on Tuesday, the opposition leaders took out a march from the Parliament House to the Prime Minister’s residence and then sat on a dharna in front of the Prime Minister’s residence. Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh spoke to Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to end the protest, but the talks remained inconclusive. After this Delhi Police removed the leaders from there.
Delhi Police took the leaders protesting in front of the Prime Minister’s residence to different places and ended the protest. Late night all these leaders were released by Delhi Police.
