Proposals for solar module and cell manufacturing and renewable energy, cement, mines and minerals, automobile, chemical, textile and tourism sectors approved.

Jaipur. The 6th meeting of the Board of Investment was held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. In this, the Chief Minister approved giving customized packages to 10 ultra mega projects of different sectors to encourage investment of Rs 46 thousand crore in Rajasthan. The proposals approved in the meeting will provide employment to more than 12 thousand people in the state.
The Chief Minister approved customized packages under RIPS to ultra mega projects related to solar module and cell manufacturing and renewable energy, cement, mines and minerals, automobile, chemical, textile and tourism sectors. Sharma directed the Chief Secretary to regularly monitor the progress of investment of companies receiving RIPS benefits and customized packages. He said that along with revenue increase, employment generation in the state is our priority.
There should be district wise monitoring of the progress of Rising Rajasthan MOU. Sharma directed to monitor the district wise progress of the MOU signed under the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. He directed to further encourage ‘One District-One Product’ (ODOP). To encourage the handicraft art of the state, he gave instructions to identify special places for sale at major tourist and religious places. He said that new tourist destinations should also be promoted in the state.
Industries and Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister) Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary Industries Shikhar Agarwal, Principal Secretary Finance Vaibhav Galaria, Commissioner BIP Suresh Kumar Ola, Additional Commissioner BIP Jugal Kishore Meena and senior officials of the BIP department were present in the meeting.
