Jaipur. On the occasion of 75th year (Diamond Jubilee) of the establishment of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, a special function will be organized in the Legislative Assembly on Monday, 18th May. On this historic occasion, the new logo of the Assembly will be released and plaques naming the historical gates of the Assembly will be unveiled. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said that this function will be held on Monday at 10:30 am in the MLA chamber of the Assembly. Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel and all MLAs have been invited to the program. The entire ceremony will be telecast live on the official YouTube channel of the Assembly @Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha. Series of innovations in the Legislative Assembly: During the tenure of the sixteenth Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, many major innovations have been made in the Legislative Assembly by taking great initiatives, which has given the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly a unique identity in the country.
The major changes in the structure and arrangements of the Legislative Assembly are as follows:
New look of the House: In keeping with the cultural identity of Pink City (Jaipur), the internal look of the Assembly House has been changed and given a pink theme.
Digital and paperless system: The functioning of the Assembly has been made completely digital and paperless. Apart from this, the system of online attendance has also been started.
Cultural and Democratic Galleries: Digital Museum, Constitution Gallery, Vande Mataram Gallery, Shaurya Vatika, Nakshatra Vatika and Herbal Vatika have been constructed in the campus.
Jandarshan and discussion time: ‘Jandarshan’ program was started to connect the common people with the democratic processes. Also, the time for discussion on issues of public interest in the Assembly House has been increased and arrangements have been made for accountability quiz.
Security and Communication: The security arrangements of the Assembly have been completely tightened. Along with realizing the concept of Central Hall, organizing Social Media Influencers Meet and Constitution Club has been made the main center of discussions.
Due to all these efforts, Rajasthan Assembly has reached the top in the category of best and most modern assemblies of the country.
