A shameful incident has come to light in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. For the last three months, a 50 year old man was trying to exploit an innocent 10 year old girl. He not only performed obscene acts with her, but also sent obscene pictures of her on her mobile phone. The police have arrested him. This incident took place in Pardeshipura police station area of the district.
According to the complaint lodged with the police, the accused had been taking the girl to his home on the pretext of “feeding” her for the last three months and was doing obscene acts with her. To scare the girl, he even threatened to kill her parents, due to which the girl became silent. When the girl’s mother checked her mobile phone, nude pictures were found on it.
On enquiry, the girl cried and told that a 50 year old man had sent the pictures. A similar incident had happened two and a half months ago, but the family remained silent due to fear of defamation. When the victim’s mother went to the police station to lodge a complaint, the police response was disappointing.
In the name of action, the woman was kept in the police station for three hours.
In the absence of TI RD Kanwa, the officers on duty kept the woman in the police station for three hours and kept delaying registering the case. After the arrival of the police station in-charge, considering the seriousness of the matter, FIR was registered.
The police arrested the accused late at night. A case has been registered against him under various sections of POCSO Act and molestation. The girl’s statement has been recorded in the court and the police is investigating the matter. According to TI, the accused has been arrested on the basis of the family’s complaint. He is being interrogated.
