How did the fight start?
It is clearly visible in the video that the young man first slaps and then punches. Before the passenger sitting next to her could understand anything or defend herself, the attacker completely overpowers her. He pulls her aside and slaps her two-three times. The other passengers are also surprised by this sudden attack. Fights between passengers in Delhi Metro are nothing new. Often arguments break out over seats or jostling in the crowd. However, this time the reason for the fight is being said to be something else. According to reports, the person sitting next to him was repeatedly pushing the other passenger. There was an argument over this issue and then it turned into a scuffle. This video going viral on social media is of about 16 seconds. Although the entire incident is not visible, what is visible is enough to show how quickly things went haywire.
This video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user named @gharkekalesh. In fact, such incidents are becoming more common than ever. In a public place like the metro, where lakhs of people travel every day, even a small disagreement can turn into a big dispute. Experts say that increasing crowd, stress and lack of patience are the main reasons for these incidents. People are in a hurry, become sensitive about seats or space, and can get angry over small things.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) repeatedly appeals to passengers to exercise restraint while traveling and inform the security personnel in case of any dispute. CCTV cameras are installed in every coach of the metro and security personnel are deployed. Despite this, such incidents show that passengers still need a little more patience and understanding.
