Jaipur. Under the Knowledge Enhancement Program for capacity building of farmers under Point 124 of the budget announcement for the financial year 2024-25 by the State Government, a team of 38 progressive farmers left for Copenhagen, Denmark on Wednesday under the leadership of three ministers from New Delhi. In this team, Animal Husbandry, Cow Husbandry, Dairy and Devsthan Minister Zoraram Kumawat, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Ota Ram Dewasi, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Jawahar Singh Bedham, Farmer Commission Chairman C.R. Chaudhary, Government Secretary of Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Samit Sharma, Agriculture Commissioner Chinmayi Gopal, Agriculture Marketing Director Rajesh Kumar Chauhan along with 9 officers of Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry departments are also included. In this tour, a total of 38 farmers including 4 farmers each from Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Sikar and Udaipur agriculture divisions, 3 each from Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jalore and Kota agriculture divisions and 6 farmers from Jaipur agriculture division have left for Denmark. Farmer group is being represented by Jora Ram Kumawat. Joram Kumawat said that in view of agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry being the main sources of income of the farmers of the state, the tour to Denmark was decided in the first phase. During this visit, the team will get information about the innovations taking place in Denmark in the agriculture and dairy sector till 12th October. During the visit, the team will also have meetings with various organizations in Denmark in which information on promoting agriculture and animal husbandry will be shared. A detailed analysis of the daily visits and meetings conducted by the tour team will be conducted and recommendations will be made to implement beneficial techniques and policies as per the local conditions in the context of the state and the country. This team will return to New Delhi on 14 October.
