Keeping in mind the upcoming winter tourist season in the tourist areas of Bodhgaya and Gaya, Air India has decided that it will re-operate its air service between Gaya and Delhi from October 25. The main objective of this move is to ensure the convenience of Buddhist pilgrims and other tourists.
Air India officials said that the flight service will operate as per the number of regular international and domestic passengers, making travel between Gaya and Delhi more convenient and faster than before. Furthermore, the revival of this route aims to provide better connectivity for tourists and pilgrims.
Gaya Airport management said that this service will prove to be important from tourism and economic point of view. This service will save time and make travel comfortable especially for Buddhist pilgrims. The Tourism Department also welcomed the decision and said it would benefit local businesses, hotels and the tourism industry.
Officials have appealed to passengers to make flight bookings well in advance as the number of passengers is likely to increase during the winter season.
Thus, the resumption of Gaya-Delhi flight service from October 25 will play an important role in promoting tourism in the region and making travel easier for pilgrims.
