The murmur of positive changes and administrative reforms has intensified in the cooperative sector of Rajasthan. Recently, a delegation led by Suraj Bhansingh Amera, a senior cooperative leader of the state and an official of various cooperative unions, had a cordial meeting with the newly appointed Government Secretary and Registrar (Cooperative), Dr. Samit Sharma. The delegation congratulated Dr. Samit Sharma for his appointment to important posts like Government Secretary, Registrar and Apex Bank Administrator.
During this, he was welcomed by presenting him a bunch of flowers and a ‘plant’, a symbol of environmental protection. The atmosphere during the meeting was extremely cordial, where there was a serious discussion on the future of the cooperative movement along with ‘Manu-Manuhar’. The sentiments of the employees from “PAX to APEX” have been given voice in the official congratulatory letter handed over by Suraj Bhan Singh Amera.
The letter mainly focused on the following points, including establishing accountability and transparent leadership in the co-operative banking system, ensuring payment of outstanding ₹765.57 crore (loan waiver interest) and ₹568.62 crore (interest subsidy) to CCBs by the State Government, appointing only “fit and eligible” officers as Managing Directors (MDs) following the RBI policy directives, implementing effective inspection system in Pax Mini Banks, CCBs, Taking prompt action on irregularities-embezzlement-scams, removing the ban on attachment auction proceedings for loan recovery under the Cooperative Act and review of staff strength in cooperative banks, new recruitment, transfer policy and timely payment of JAIIB/CAIIB salary increase.
Apart from this, the cooperative leader expressed the need for quick decision on the formation of PACS cadre and proper training policy. During this important meeting, Union President Rakesh Gurjar, Palash Kochhar, SLDB President Mukesh Pipliwal, Secretary Bhanwar Lal and Jaipur CCB Secretary Manish Gangwal and other officials from Apex Bank were present along with Amera.
Dr. Samit Sharma appreciated the union’s ‘philosophy’, bank institution interest first and the positive attitude of the cooperative leader towards the cooperative movement. He assured that he completely agrees with the issues and suggestions raised by the organization. Assured to write DO letter for payment pending in government and to hold meeting with Finance Department. He has sought detailed written suggestions on these topics from cooperative leader Amera and has decided to hold a formal meeting with the organization soon.
