Amazing feature for Jio users! You will know in a jiffy whether someone else is listening to your call.

Do you sometimes worry that someone else is listening to you from a distance and your calls are being forwarded? Now, Jio users need not worry. Addressing this risk, Reliance Jio has added a new feature to its MyJio app, allowing users to check and manage call forwarding settings directly from the app.

Till now, Jio, along with Bharti Airtel, BSNL, and Vodafone Idea (Vi), offered users the option to control call forwarding through the phone’s default settings or through a USSD code. However, Jio has taken it a step further by making this feature available in the app itself. Let us first know why this feature is important…

Why is this feature important?
Call forwarding is a useful feature, but sometimes it can be misused. If someone has activated ‘Always Forward’ or other forwarding options on your number, they can hear your incoming calls on the other number. In such a situation, someone else can access your private conversation. To avoid this, you can now use MyJio app. After the update, users can now check whether call forwarding is on for their number directly from the app without going into the phone’s settings, and can also turn it off from there if needed.

How to control call forwarding?

For this, open the MyJio app on your smartphone.
Now click on the profile icon visible on the top right side of the screen.
From here, go to the Mobile Settings option.
Then go to the Service Settings section.
After this, the call forwarding option will appear.
From here, select the category you want to change the settings for, either voice or video calls.
