Washington. US President Donald Trump said that the US military has again attacked Iran. This attack has been carried out in honor of the three American soldiers who are feared dead. Also, he said that Tehran has suffered huge military losses and no longer has control over the Strait of Hormuz. When the US President was asked about the deaths of the service members, Trump said, “We feel very bad. Those great people, those great patriots, were fighting to make sure Iran did not have nuclear weapons.” “Iran has suffered tremendous losses. They have lost almost everything militarily. They have very little left. They have few missiles. They have few drones. They don’t have much manufacturing capacity,” he said.
“We control the Strait; they don’t control anything. So we’ll see what happens, but we hit them very hard again tonight and we did it in honor of maybe three (troops),” Trump said.
Trump did not provide further details about the identities of the soldiers or the circumstances of their deaths in his brief conversation with reporters.
“It’s got a lot, a lot of capability, but I think in about a month they will be sending these capabilities to max out. It will take about a month,” the president said, responding to a question about one of Qatar’s aircraft, which serves as Air Force One, and its missile defense capabilities.
Separately, Trump said he had spoken to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney about smoke coming from wildfires in Canada. This smoke is coming to America.
He said, “I have told them, you have to stop these fires from coming in. It has poisoned our air. Our air has become poisonous. Good relationship with Mark Carney, but we have to stop the fires coming in there. If we can help him, we will help him, but maybe he should give us some reparations or something or we should impose some tariffs.”
When asked if he had any problems with Spain after winning the World Cup, Trump replied, “No, I don’t have any problems. I don’t have any problems with anybody.”
The Strait of Hormuz, connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, is one of the world’s most important energy corridors. Any military conflict affecting this route could disrupt shipping and put pressure on energy prices around the world, which could impact oil importing countries like India.
