Amid preparations for Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Arwal on Sunday. During this, he fiercely targeted the opposition parties and termed the Congress-RJD alliance as a ‘thugbandhan’. Shah said that this alliance was formed only to get power, it has nothing to do with the development of the people.
Addressing the huge crowd gathered at the rally, Amit Shah said,
“Development is possible in Bihar only when the politics of Jungle Raj ends here. The alliance of Congress and RJD only does vote bank politics. This is not an alliance but a ‘thugbandhan’ which has been formed to mislead the public.”
He also made a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said,
“Rahul Gandhi is more worried about infiltrators from Bangladesh than the people of Bihar. He is ready to compromise the security of the country for the sake of vote bank, but BJP will never allow this to happen.”
Shah further said that Rahul Gandhi takes the name of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar only during elections, whereas in reality he has always insulted Ambedkar’s ideas and the dignity of the Constitution.
“The name of Baba Saheb Ambedkar is just an election slogan for Rahul Gandhi, while the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have worked to realize Ambedkar’s dreams.”
The Home Minister also mentioned the public welfare schemes of the Bihar government and the Center during the rally. He said that the country is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the BJP government has done historic work for the empowerment of the poor, farmers, youth and women.
Shah appealed to the public to strengthen the BJP in the upcoming elections by rejecting the politics of “thugbandhan”. He said the BJP’s goal is “developed Bihar, secure Bihar and self-reliant Bihar”.
BJP state officials, workers and a large number of local people were present in the rally. During Shah’s speech, the workers electrified the atmosphere with slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”.
