The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing a public meeting organized under the ‘Swachchandhra-Swaranandhra’ program at Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district. He said, there was a time when I used to work for family planning. Children are our property. Today again we all have to work hard for the children. I have decided that Rs 30,000 will be given to the third child and Rs 40,000 to the fourth child immediately after birth.” The people present in the meeting welcomed this statement of the Chief Minister with loud applause and happiness. Other leaders present on the stage were also seen smiling.
Chandrababu Naidu said that children are the real wealth of the country and are very important for the progress of the nation. The Chief Minister said that soon a new initiative named ‘Children are Wealth’ will be started. He clarified that efforts are being made to convert population into national asset through effective population management.

He warned that this demographic change is having a negative impact on the economy of those countries. The Chief Minister said that earlier the state government used to run extensive campaigns to promote family planning, but now the circumstances have changed and people need to understand that children are the real wealth. He said that many steps will be taken under the population management policy to increase the birth rate.
Naidu said that Anganwadi centers are being strengthened through the Women and Child Welfare Department so that nutritious food can be provided to mothers and children. He also said that under the ‘Talli Ki Vandanam’ scheme, financial assistance of Rs 15,000 is already being given. –
