Bathinda. Amid the continuous action against crime in Punjab, the police has achieved another major success. Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab along with Bathinda Police have arrested two accused in a joint operation. Illegal weapons have also been recovered from them. According to the police, the accused have been identified as Jackky Kumar alias Jackky and Vikas Arora. Both these accused were planning to rob a businessman in Bathinda. Acting in time, the police caught them. Police have recovered two country-made .32 bore pistols, magazines and four cartridges from them. Initial investigation has also revealed that the weapons found in their possession were brought from Delhi. Now the police is busy connecting the links of this entire network so that it can be found out who else are involved behind this.
The criminal record of the arrested accused Vikas Arora has also come to light. It is being told that he has been involved in cases like domestic violence in the past also.
At the same time, even before this, AGTF Punjab had taken another major action in collaboration with the Special Task Force (Karnal Unit) of Haryana. In this operation, two close associates of fugitive gangster Lucky Patial, Rajan alias Piyush Pehalwan and Pritam Shah were arrested. Both of them are said to be associated with Bambiha gang.
These accused are accused of being involved in the famous murder case that took place on March 18 in Sector-9, Chandigarh, in which Charanpreet Singh alias Chinni was murdered. This case had created a lot of sensation in the area.
Punjab Police said that it is fully committed to take strict action against crime and gangster activities in the state and will continue to take similar actions against the accused in future also.
