Mahindra performed brilliantly in its core segments and sold a total of 6,60,276 SUVs in FY 2025-26, which is a new record.
Mahindra recorded a strong sales performance in the last month of FY26. The company has delivered a total of 99,969 vehicles including domestic and export markets, which is 21 percent more than last year. The biggest contributor to this growth has been the utility vehicle (SUV) segment.
The company’s domestic SUV sales in March 2026 stood at 60,272 units, which is 25 percent more than last year. If exports are also included, total UV sales reached 62,109 units. Additionally, the commercial vehicle segment also performed well, where the company recorded sales of 24,928 units, a growth of 11 per cent year-on-year.
Talking about exports, Mahindra shipped out 3,968 units in March 2026, which is a decline of 4 percent compared to last year. However, exports during the entire financial year increased by 18 percent to 40,990 units. The company sold a total of 6,60,276 SUVs in FY2025-26, which is a new record and shows a growth of 20 percent.
In the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of less than 3.5 tonnes, the company also sold 2,89,597 units, which is 13 percent more. At the same time, the 2–3.5 tonne category recorded a growth of 13 percent with 21,402 units. There was also a tremendous growth of 39 percent in the sales of three-wheelers, which reached 10,801 units.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the company’s automotive division, said that this financial year has been a great year for Mahindra, where the company has achieved the highest ever sales in the SUVs and LCV segments. He said that in March, SUV sales increased by 25 percent and LCV sales increased by 11 percent, taking the total sales to 99,969 units.
Recently launched new models and updates, such as Mahindra XUV 7XO and the company’s new electric range, have also played an important role in increasing sales. Overall, with strong traction in SUVs, steady performance in commercial vehicles and record sales, Mahindra looks to be in a strong position in the new financial year.
